As my last week here at Hope Mountain comes to an end I have tried my very best to be intentional about every moment, to stop frequently and look around at this crazy place I have had the privilege to live at for the last month.

Here are 5 specific times the Lord reminded me he was good this week:

09/29/17- I was told recently that the stars in the sky sing. NASA has proved that the surface plasma produces high pitched sounds, which sounds like music. I don’t understand the science behind all of this, but if the stars can sing praises to the Lord, so can I. I laid on the back patio and watched the stars, it was nothing out of the ordinary but God created the stars and galaxies for a reason, and I am content just sitting and admiring them.

10/02/17- I sat on our rooftop “tree house” and drank 32 oz. of orange juice. I don’t really like orange juice all the much, but the idea of sitting in a tree house in the Dominican Republic drinking a cartoon of orange juice sounded lovely. The Lord has provided a place for me to rest, and I am forever thankful for that

09/30/17- I sat on a bus with Carsen and Kelly, we laughed and ate life savers. The Lord has provided the best people, and such sweet community. My goal this month has been to be intentional with my relationships, this is only the beginning.

09/25/17- We had an off day from ministry, our hosts took us on a boat ride to the middle of the Caribbean were we swam and snorkeled. With the sun shining and wind blowing I was beyond grateful to be sitting on a boat on the beautiful ocean with my sweet friends Ky, Kara, and Kate.

10/01/17- We hosted an all church event today, we sat in the driveway and sang Praises to the Lord. If you know me then you know the song “Creo en ti” is a Spanish worship song I hold close to my heart. It was a pleasure to worship with these people, and sing the song that the Lord originally used to capture my heart.

Thank you, thank you for taking the time to read this blog as I share my heart, it means the world.

I love you all, and miss seeing your familiar faces. Pictures from this month will be posted in a few days, so keep an eye out for those.

All my love,

Kara
