You asked, and I am here to answer all your questions!!!!!!!
What is the most challenging aspect of your trip so far? What has been the most rewarding? What have you been most surprised by? What experience have pushed you the furthest out of your comfort zone? What embarrassing/funny moments have you had? What ways have you served that you did expect to? – Lauren Gappa
Wow Lauren you have a lot of questions!!!!!! Goodbyes have been hard, it seems as just when I get comfortable in the place it’s time to leave to somewhere new. It’s been hard to not be in a place long enough to truly form deep relationships, and have to leave soon. Seeing people’s smiles is always rewarding. I’ve been surprised that I haven’t been homesick yet. It was my biggest worry before leaving, and the Lord really answered my prayer in that way, I am present and content where I am and that is huge. I can’t recall any embarrassing moments, but one time we went to Vic Falls and we paid an illegal tour guide to take us on a hike and he stole our money and ran, we didn’t end up seeing what we were supposed to see. That still makes me laugh. I spent a day in Botswana picking up buckets of cow poop from our neighbor’s field to make compost, that is not what I pictured when I came on the race.
