Botswana taught me what faith is.
?Botswana is teaching me what faith looks like.

I have experienced more growth these past 3 weeks than ever before. I have asked the Lord to speak to me and he has shown up in huge ways.

As I mentioned in my last blog, out ministry this month has not been very structured. We have been given the freedom to plan and execute events, and the rest of our time is ours to make out own ministry and find opportunities.

With all of my free time I decided to be friends with our neighbor boy. Elijah is 6 years old, he doesn’t go to school, and he loves books. For me, that means a few things. Elijah is the perfect age to tell stories to, he’s alone and bored all day when the other kids are at school, and he would be thrilled to sit down and read a children’s Bible. Some of my best days have been sitting in the dirt with Elijah reading stories.
After meeting Elijah, he introduced me to his other friend, George. George likes books too, and one day me and a few friends found ourselves at his house with the other kids. We sat and talked to his mom, Kaheso. Kaheso is 9 months pregnant
and due on December 25th (how exciting!!). Her youngest daughter, Sadi, who’s 4 is truly a miracle.

We sat with Kaheso as she told us the story of Sadi being born. While in labor, there were a few complications and the baby was dying. Kaheso was handed “abortion pills” to ensure that this baby was dead before she gave birth. Kaheso reluctantly took the pills because she was afraid she would die if she didn’t. That day, January 4th, Kaheso gave birth to a healthy baby girl named Sadi. She was alive. She was a miracle baby.

While sharing this story with us this woman was not sad, she was not angry at the doctors, but she was confident that the Lord was on her side and had a plan every step of the way.

Kaheso had FAITH that her life was in Jesus’ hands.?Kaheso has FAITH that her unborn babies’ life was in Jesus’ hands.

Wow.

With ministry giving us a lot of free time I have found myself in the Bible more than I have in a very long time. I am reading through the Gospels.

Mark 5:28 “If I even touch his garments, I will be made well. And immediately the flow of blood dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease”
Mark 5:32 “And he said to her, “Daughter, your FAITH has made you well: go in peace, and be healed of your disease”

Her faith healed her. Faith. She didn’t have to work for it, she didn’t have to prove anything to Jesus. She had faith, Jesus saw that and she was healed.

Faith has power.

Spending this time with Jesus has reminded me not only of His power, but the power within me simply by having faith.
If I have faith the size of a mustard seed, I can move mountains.

I ask the Lord for a lot, I am constantly in prayer for myself, my family, for friends and strangers. I tell the Lord that I have faith that he can move mountains, I have faith that he hears my needs and knows my every desire.
I am learning what faith really looks like. My relationship with Jesus is in my hands, which is crazy cool. I have made the commitment to chase after Him with everything I have, and he has continued to draw closer.

It means everything to me that each one of you continue to follow my blog, and support me each step of the way.
