Dear loved ones,

As my senior year approaches an end, as well as my time at home, I am preparing to venture out. For most, that means packing up and heading off to college. However, that is not the case for me this year.

Among the college applications and acceptance letters, the Lord drew my heart towards a missions program called World Race. After an intense interview process, research, prayer, and surrendering all expectations of what next year will look like to the Lord, I committed to World Race.

World Race’s gap year program sends young adults around the globe to serve and proclaim the name of Jesus. Over nine months, I will live in five countries: Haiti, Dominican Republic, Botswana, South Africa, and the Philippines. With my time here, I will work with local ministries in reaching the people there and pouring out the love of our Savior. Along with my team, I will share the good news of salvation in cultures where Christianity is uncommon. It is difficult to explain all the ways we will be serving, simply because our service is subject to change. We will be flexible limbs of Jesus during these nine months. My heart is to love people. I am thrilled for the opportunity to spend the next school year simply loving the Lord’s children with His great love and sharing the good news Jesus brings. Excitement is an understatement.

First and foremost, I desire your prayers. Here are some things I ask you to pray for:

  • God will provide for the financial needs.

  • That the Lord will be working in the hearts of my team members and myself, as well as those we will meet overseas, starting now, before we leave on September 7th.

  • Pray I will fully believe and live out 2 Corinthians 12:9 ‘But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.’ That even though I will fail, the Lord will use my weakness to bring Him glory.

  • That the Lord will have His hands around my team and me, that we would be safe.

In order to get from Katy, TX to all five of these countries around the world, I must raise $14,951. This number may look daunting, but I am fully confident that the Lord will provide. The money will cover airfare, living accommodations, summer training, and expenses overseas. I want to invite you to be a part of this ministry.
