-South Africa-January-Month 7-

In South Africa my team was paired with another team working with a ministry starting a new base in the town we were at. So we spent our time reaching out in the community, building relationships with already established organizations to partner with. We learned a lot that ministry does not have to be confined to a specific time set aside or a specific task, but can be in every interaction throughout your entire day. We sought to be a blessing to the community we were a part of that month, shining God’s light.

We had the opportunity to spend time volunteering at a great animal shelter, walking dogs, loving on cats, cleaning pens, and getting to know the amazing staff there.

We helped at a local preschool during their free period, playing with the kids, singing songs, and performing skits for them.

Throughout the month, we also cared for two foster children our ministry contact had taken in, learning the ins and outs of caring for young kids and selfless love.
