If you're looking for some amazingly creative, witty, thought-provoking blog, well this is probably not it, but if you're wanting the facts about what I'll be doing with the next year of my life, here it is. I've put together a few of the most common questions I'm asked and the answers to go along…

What is the World Race?

The World Race is an 11-month long mission trip to 11 different countries through Adventure in Missions (AIM) to serve the “least of these” while living in real, raw community. The World Race creates long-term relationships with local ministries and churches in each place they serve. The goal is to help locals serve more people with greater effectiveness.

What is Adventures in Missions?

Adventures in Missions is an interdenominational missions organization that focuses on discipleship. AIM was established in 1989 and has taken over 100,000 people into the mission field, some for as short as a week and others for as long as a year or longer.  AIM is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; all donations are tax-deductible. http://www.adventures.org/about/index.asp?iname=about#

When and where will you be going?

Beginning on July 3rd, 2013 I will be going to Romania, Ukraine, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia.

What will you be actually doing?

The types of ministries we participate in really depends on the location each month and the needs of that community. Some days will be packed full with construction, VBS, building relationships with orphans, teaching English, praying for the sick at a hospital, ministering to those trapped in prostitution due to human trafficking, sharing food with the hungry, preaching at gatherings, or praying for the community we walk through.

How can I be involved in you trip?

First and foremost, I can use as much prayer as possible. It is a huge step of faith for me to leave everything and everyone I know to be the hands and feet of God to people around the world. All prayer is appreciated and needed, and I cannot do it with out the power of prayer.

You can also partner with me in this ministry by supporting me financially. In order to go on the World Race, I must raise $15,500, which covers all my expenses on the field including housing, food, and travel.

Specific Financial deadlines:

  • $3,500- May 4th
  • $6,500- June 17th
  • $11,000- October 1st
  • $15,500- January 1st

I am trusting that God will provide for all my needs, by providing opportunities and raising up people who will support me. If you would like to give financially, you can make checks payable to Adventures in Missions with kittermankara in the Memo line and mail them to:

You can also give online by clicking on "Support Me" in the upper left of the screen. There is a 3-4% fee for credit and debit card transactions. You have the option to give as a one time gift or give monthly. If you choose to give monthly there is the option to use Dynapay to automatically give the same time and amount each month with no fees. As my financial deadlines show, I must be fully supported by January, and therefore stop receiving donations the end of December 2013. Checks can take up to two weeks to process and online donations take 3-5 days.

You can also stay connected with me and what God is doing around the world by continuing to follow my blog. You can receive email alerts every time I post a new blog by clicking on "Update Alerts" in the upper left side of the screen and signing up your email.

I cannot tell you how excited I am to partake in this adventure God has laid before me and want to thank you already for coming this far with me in my journey! If you have any other questions or comments, please feel free to let me know!!!
