Hey Hey Hey!!! Today I would like to tell you HOW I WAS CALLED to THE WORLD RACE!!!!
I have always been interested in helping other people and have gone on short mission trips over the past 10 years each summer (CATHOLIC HEART WORK CAMP). These missions have shaped me and made me into who I am and have given me the drive to want to help others even more.
I just graduated from Trine University in Angola, Indiana 
and as my first summer as a college graduate approached I knew it was going to be an amazing time! I was going to be on Staff of CHWC and traveling to a few different states to help the less fortunate in these areas and spread the Word of God!! While on this trip I did a lot of thinking about what I would be doing after this trip. I guessed I would get a job and live a “normal” life… However I didn’t want this….
and as my first summer as a college graduate approached I knew it was going to be an amazing time! I was going to be on Staff of CHWC and traveling to a few different states to help the less fortunate in these areas and spread the Word of God!! While on this trip I did a lot of thinking about what I would be doing after this trip. I guessed I would get a job and live a “normal” life… However I didn’t want this….I had contemplated joining the Peace Corps but it didn’t seem to feel right… SO I decided to take a job as the Assistant Softball Coach for Trine University!!!! I was really excited about this and decided to find a daytime job as well. The day I went out to find a job I was offered a Personal Training position on the spot. I found an apartment that I thought would be the perfect place to rent out and everything seemed to fall right into place!!!
Then all of a sudden everything seemed completely wrong. The apartment I wanted to rent fell through and other things in my life changed quickly!!! I decided to take the job as a Coach still and personal train. But things just didn’t feel right in my life I felt like I was in the WRONG place and I was starting to question if this was right!! I had an early breakfast with my High School friend Brian, who I had barely seen over the past four years. We ate breakfast and exchanged stories and I cried a bit! He then told me that he wanted to show me this AWESOME opportunity called The World Race.
Once he told me about The World Race I instantly said I AM SERIOUS!! I WANT TO DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! After looking at this trip I completely felt called to this mission!! I’ve always wanted to travel and I have felt that I am ready to take the next step and do a different type of mission trip!
Anyways I don’t think this blog is really explaining that feelings and emotions I felt and feel towards this trip But I know that it is right and the God has called me to this… This is all for now but I’ll give some examples on how God has blessed me and has shown me that this is what he wants me to do!!! God is asking me to be HIS hands and HIS servant!
