Actually, I didn’t, but I am living in the same country as Dracula this month!

You may think that Dracula is just stories and legends made up, but he really existed and lived in the province of Transylvania in Romania. He was a serial “vampire” and one of the first to start the vampire movement. He actually killed many victims and then proceeded to drink their blood. In Budapest, Hungary there is an underground labyrinth where Dracula was kept once he was caught.

Though I did not meet Dracula, nor am I living in Transylvania, my team and I are living in Pestere, Romania and working with Apa Vie Ministries. We have been here a week already and that’s crazy to me because time truly is moving quickly. Our ministry host, Roy Olsen, has designed a leadership class that he is teaching my team each morning. It is truly a blessing to be poured into in this way. In the afternoon’s my team does community service between 5 different properties. Tuesday this looked like organizing and cleaning a work shop as well as cutting and raking grass.

In the evenings we are going to different churches to sing and share testimonies. Where I’d love for myself and my team to be able to preach, Romania has a more traditional view of women and as such women preaching is frowned upon.

This month is turning out to be a great one for my team as we are able to do ministry all together once again (after 2 months of going in different directions). It has been nice being able to truly spend my days with my team.

Till Next Time,
