Before I go into the adventure my team has had here in Bulawayo, I want to officially introduce my team (Team Clutch) to you all.

Last Friday, the 10th of February, my team’s host, Michelle, took us to Matobas National Park. It was a beautiful drive and we got to see a lot of scenery.

My team also had a lot of fun taking photos together.

At one point during our drive through the park we got to park our cars and have a picnic! It was a lot of fun sitting in the shade and enjoying each other’s company. At the spot we stopped at to picnic was also a natural water slide (from water running down a flattened rock). It was a lot of fun train sliding down the rock slide with my teammates.
After having fun sliding and playing in the water and then changing into dry clothes, I unfortunately tried to rock the World Race style where clothing doesn’t match (this usually happens on laundry day)…

This drive wasn’t just for the scenery though! We tried to find the rhinos, but didn’t get to see them. We did however see a few zebras a ways off, along with several baboons, a herd of cows, 3 donkeys, a coodu (deer like animal), about a hundred rainbow lizards, and a herd of Wildebeests.

This was just a little bit into my weekend adventure so far. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and it gave you a glimpse of the Africa I’ve come to love already.
Till Next Time,
Kara

P.S. – Meagan Dooney and Crysahna Saurez, my teammates, are still in need of funds in order to stay on the race. Please consider supporting them!
