For all those who are wondering, YES, I SURVIVED CAMP! It was an awesome time of bonding and fellowship, learning about myself and my teammates. While I did several thousand push-ups, I did not have to hike any mountains with my pack. There was some mild hiking and that was enough for me. Roughing it consisted of no electricity, freezing cold showers, and we did sleep outside for two nights. We did have a roof over our head. Check it out. (That’s not me in the red bag) Thanks to Mark Strattman for the photos.
The Squirrel’s Nest

Camp was really amazing! I got to  meet  the30 (and still counting) other crazy people who signed up to give up a year of their life to go on this journey.  Personally, God began to  show me that he has more for me than I can imagine.   I having been praying about being a part of a generation that will help change the world as we know it.  I know that I am taking steps of faith to begin that very journey.  Ron Walborn, one of the speakers kept saying and  praying, “Father, do anything you need to do in me so you can do everything you want to do through me.” This is the cry of my heart.  Through, Christ there is healing and wholeness that we have been promised.  I want my heart and my body and my soul to be healed and whole.  I am realizing this is not a painless process but one filled with pain and grief.  God is reassuring me that he is bigger than any pain we will experience in this life.  He is in our grief waiting to take us to the other side.  My prayer for myself is that I will embrace the pain and the healing so that I may be whole.   This is just a tidbit of what God has begun to do in my life through the World Race.  I am excited to share it with you as WE begin this journey together.  Please feel free to contact me with comments, funny stories, prayer requests or anything else on your heart.  All my love in Him.
