"I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow."

                —–  [1 Corinthians 3:6]

Seed planters. That is what our team has truly been this past month in Cambodia. We have been scattering, planting seeds of the Good News; seeds of faith. Testimonies have been used to describe the great changes God has done in our hearts. Bible verses have been shared and turned into catchy songs. Small children have seen and flipped through a bible for the first time in their lives. These children have been exposed to the Gospel. Prayers have been sent up to our Heavenly Father for their sweet souls. Love was poured out on them, the strong and steady downpour of a waterfall. Teaching English proved to be so, so much more than teaching English.

Sharing Jesus with sixteen year old Guekngim was one of my favorite memories from the month. She had never heard the Gospel and was intrigued by it. I was able to answer questions for her, share scripture with her, and to form a sweet sister-like bond with her- she even referred to me as sister! Though my new friend still doesn't know Jesus, I know that a seed was planted in her heart. That was the role I was called to play in her life: to walk in obedience to God and come to Cambodia to share my faith with her. I truly believe that God has someone in store to water that seed, someone who may even be privileged to witness that transformation and growth. But in the end, God is the one growing and transforming his children, he simply blesses us by allowing us to be a part of it all. Such an incredible concept. Beautiful things are in store for darling Guekngim.

This ministry, this love, this process is the very way that our contact family came to know Jesus. God transformed their lives and is now using their lives to transform the lives of others…including mine.

Please join me in prayer for Cambodia. Pray for my new friends like Guekngim who have recently heard the Gospel for the first time. Pray for laborers to come to water their seed-filled hearts. Maybe you are even the laborer. But also, step out in boldness right where you are. There are seeds of love to be planted everywhere.

       Love,

     Kara
