Last summer before U squad launched I answered two sets of 11 questions to see how my answers would change! Here is my first 11 after 11n11!
1. What's the longest flight you've ever been on?
-Longest flight is still South Africa to DC! (About 18 hours)
2. What is your favorite thing about being home?
-There is so much I love about being home. Seeing my family and friends. Sleeping in my own bed. Drinking REAL coffee. Being able to go places alone. HGTV. Having a gym membership. My mom's cooking. A fridge stocked full of fruits and veggies. Sharing stories from the field with people I love, as well as people I hardly know.
3. What makes you feel the most connected to the Lord?
-Children. Nature. Community. Deep conversations. Watching God provide in unimaginable ways.
4. What is your favorite food?
My mama's cheesy potato soup is definitely still up there but DANG! Thai food is so good!! And pita bread and hummus! And Mexican food.. There is so much good food in this world!
5. What are your thoughts on life after the race?
-It's funny how my answer to this question has changed 🙂 God put it on my heart to attend G42 leadership academy this fall-spring. So, God willing, that's where I will be next! My goal in going is to make my dreams of offering physical and spiritual hope to children facing injustice a reality.
6. How many countries have you traveled to?
-20! China, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Japan, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Swaziland, South Africa, UAE, Germany, Mexico, Malawi, and the USA!
7. What is your favorite place that you have traveled to?
– I actually don't think I can answer this question. But my top favorites are probably Malawi, Thailand, and Cambodia.
8. How much does your pack weigh?
– I believe I came home with a souvenir stuffed pack weighing 48 pounds! Yikes!
9. How do you best view God?
-My Father. My Bridegroom. My caretaker and friend. <3
10. How do you take your coffee?
-With just a bit of creamer! Preferably hazelnut or creme brûlée flavored 🙂
11. What is your most embarrassing moment?
– I really don't have many! I guess I chose this question thinking I would embarrass myself badly on the race! Haha but it hasn't changed since before the race 🙂
