To my Dear Friends and Family,
I hope this letter finds you well! My heart is overjoyed to share with you where God has been taking me and where my journey continues. In July 2014, I will be going on an 11-month missions trip, known as the World Race, through a Christian organization, Adventures in Missions.
11 countries in 11 months: Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia and China.
This past year has been one of blessings, healing, vision, being uncomfortable, preparation, and prayer. God has been building my heart for culture and community, while breaking my heart for His people. At the start of July, I will be living out of a 40 lb. backpack, venturing with a team of young adults who are passionate about the same vision of service, sacrifice, and sharing the restoration and hope of the Father’s love. While partnering with local churches and ministries, I will have the opportunity to share life and share the hope that Jesus offers us with people who I will one day call family. My team and I will be serving in orphanages, working with victims of human trafficking, planting churches, participating in building projects and community outreaches, teaching English, helping to meet the needs of the area, and much more.
I am beyond grateful for this opportunity that God has given me. He has been so faithful, leading me to this point, and I have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! Ultimately, my prayer is that He will do that through you. My hope is that you will consider partnering with me on a journey for this next year, as I look forward to a vision or surrender for the rest of my life. Your prayers are most important: for preparation, team unity, support, strength, wisdom, patience, health, protection, healing, and open hearts, now and throughout my trip.
In order to be fully funded on the World Race, I must raise $16,285, which covers all of my expenses on the field. If 40 people pledge $50/month for the next 8 months, I would have close to 100 percent of the necessary funds. For those who would want to make a one-time donation, I do need to raise $3,500 by May 2nd,2014 or $7,500 by June 20, 2014. Even the smallest amount would be incredibly helpful!
