“When a soul sets out to find God it does not know whither it will come and by what path it will be led; but those who catch the vision are ready to follow the Lamb wherever He goes, and it is as they follow, obedient to what they have seen, in this spirit of joyful adventure, that their path becomes clear before them, and they are given the power to fulfill their high calling. They are those who have the courage to break through conventionalities, who care not at all what the world thinks of them, because they are entirely taken up with the tremendous realities of the soul and God.” -Bishop Bardsley
~ Awakening My Inner Pioneer ~
What if being one step ahead of the world is ten thousand steps behind where God desires to take you??
God desires for us to learn to spiritually walk, then run, then jump, then take on the most difficult mountain passes known to man. God desires for us to learn to talk with Him, then listen to Him, then represent Him on earth. God desires us to learn to love and give of ourselves, then sacrifice all our earthly comforts to build His kingdom, then even shed our blood for Him as a statement of the greatest love.
Imagine if there was so much more that God had in mind for us than we see modeled in the Christian community today… Imagine if He really did desire us to dream the impossible as little kids and actually live the impossible as adults.
Imagine if our relationship with the God of the Universe was not just a dull religious routine but an endless frontier of possibility and adventure.
Sadly, us Christians become settlers rather than pioneers. We have become men and women who no longer “combs the wilds of God’s grace”. And it’s time we realize that knowing Christ is an endless frontier- a frontier into which we have taken but one measly step.
The countries Jesus and I will be stepping into: Albania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, South Africa, Swaziland, Botswana, India, Nepal, Mongolia and China
When: July 2014- June, 2015
Let’s be adventurers together! An adventure that will claim our entire existence. This adventure means saying adios to life as we know it. Yet it also means discovering life the way it was meant to be lived, in all it’s breathtaking wonder and grandeur…
“It’s gonna be wild, it’s gonna be great, it’s gonna be full of Me” <3
