When I signed up to be a Mary Kay consultant, the starter box told me to start something beautiful. Well, little did this company know, I was already starting something beautiful, and it was going to be for the glory of God! I decided to go on the World Race.
Well, going on the World Race is a beautiful thing, but it costs a pretty penny too. Over $15,000 dollars worth of pretty pennies. So why did I decided to start selling Mary Kay? Was it to earn fabulous jewelry and makeup or earn a free company car? As tempting as these things are and it is true Mary Kay can help to achieve these goals, it is not the reason I signed up. I wanted to sell Mary Kay because of the making woman feel beautiful part. I also knew that by doing this I could raise money for the World Race. Two fabulous results from being a sales person.
The problem is I happen to be a terrible sales person. I would rather give away all my products. But that won’t help raise money for the World Race! I believe in the products which I am offering through Mary Kay. I use them every day. And I would love to spend some time with some ladies to have a free facial to try the products. But I also need to sell some, because without sales, I won’t be able to use Mary Kay to raise money for the World Race.
