It all started back in April of 1926 when two tiny twins were born. One of them was not breathing. A neighbor, who was there helping in the birth, thought quickly. They quickly seized a bottle of whiskey and put a small drop in the mouth of the lifeless baby. Instantly the baby’s heart began to beat, bringing her back to life. If it weren’t for this whiskey, I would not be alive today. That tiny baby was my maternal grandmother, and if she had not been brought back to life, I would not be writing this. This wasn’t the first time that the devil tried to prevent my being born. He tried to stop my legacy through my father as well. Fast forward a few years to the 1940’s. My paternal grandma was carrying her first child, when she slipped and fell and had a miscarriage. The doctor’s informed her that she would never be able to carry a child because of it. Despite this grim news, my grandma became pregnant again, with my father. She was never able to conceive again, but she was able to have her miracle child. And because of that, I am here. Twice my existence was threatened before I existed, and twice God intervened. And now, here I am, doing what I can to bring the good news of Christ to the World. I am not sure why God had it planned for me to be here. But I know he has a good reason. And that is the reason why I say YES to what ever God has for me.
These simple events that led to my being born were only the beginning. If it were not for my mom’s persistence in sharing her faith in God with me, I would not have decided to follow after him. And if I had not decided to follow after him, I would not have gone to First Assembly of God youth group when I was 13. And if I had not gone to this youth group, I would not have met my two best friends. And if I had not met them, I would not have decided to go to a Christian college fair, just to spend time with them. And if I had not gone to the Christian college fair, I would not have gone to Nyack College. And if I had not gone to Nyack College, I would not have gone on a missions trip to Puerto Rico with them through AIM. And if I had not gone on that mission trip, I would not have decided to go through AIM for a mission trip to Haiti. And if I had not gone on a trip through AIM to Haiti, I would not have known that I could trust AIM to go on the World Race. And if I don’t go on the World Race God only knows what else I would miss out on it life to bring me to the exact place he has for me. I know that there must be great things waiting for me on the world race. And so I wait…for the great things God will do for me, through me and with me as I go to the nations!!!!
