So, I know it has been a few days since I posted in the Honoring Men of God series, but I have been so tired adjusting to my new job. So even if it goes into April, I will have all 11 posted.
#6 Ray Graham. Ray was my youth leader growing up and since my father passed away in 2005, he has been like an adopted father to me. He has been my youth leader since I was 13 years old. He once told me that he didn’t think I would make it in life. He was quite surprised at how far the Lord has taken me. I know that if it weren’t for people like him in my life, I very well may have had a lot problems. His lessons in youth group were ones that inspired me to seek God more. I know that God had supernaturally been protecting me, and one of those ways he did that was by placing people like Ray in my life. My favorite thing that he use to tell us girls (at one time it was all girls) was “All men are dogs, I would never date one.” Well, I would hope not! But it always made us laugh any way. He also used to bring us dog treats and would say “when my dogs are good girls, I give them dog treats, so I brought you treats because you were good girls.” So we got him a dog bone because he was a good boy. I always loved the way he taught. I am not sure teenagers today would appreciate it. But I did. And I appreciate God putting Christian men like this in my life. They helped shaped me into a woman of God that I am today.
