Today is the second day of honoring men of God that have had a positive impact in my life. Today we will be honoring #10….
#10. Zacherie Francois.
I first met Zach as a translator on my first mission trip to Haiti! I was blessed to have had him as a translator for my second trip to Haiti! When we went out to meet the translators, I took one look at Zach and said “Hey! I know you!” and I was welcomed with the same response from him. I couldn’t believe that he actually remembered me a year later after spending a only week with me and my team. Melissa was on my team with me the first time and she too was excited to see Zach! This man has an incredible story about how the Lord was with him during the 2010 earthquake that shook Haiti. He was in the church when he heard a voice call out his name. 3 times he heard his name calling him to get out of the building. He finally heeded the voice and urged his friends to do the same. As soon as he left the building the earthquake began and he was saved. But his friends who ignored his plea did not. How much of a plan God must have for Zach, that he would call him by name to save his very life! And Zach continues to do just that, walk in God’s plan. He has his own ministry to work with the children in his area. He has 3 beautiful children and is always talking about his lovely wife. He always puts his family and others first. He is a constant reminder of what a man of God looks like. Praise God for this man!
