A couple of weeks ago, we spent ten days in Gainesville, Georgia sleeping in tents, taking bucket showers, and eating a bunch of weird food. I learned to love walking and talking and seeing the beautiful sunrises in Georgia, and just being amazed at the sight of all God’s pieces beginning to fall into place.
My favorite question that was asked at training camp was, ” When the Journey gets hard, and you want to quit, why will you stay?”
The only way I know how to answer that is that God has called me to this amazing journey around the world to go and be the hands and feet of Jesus, and I know that it’s not going to be all sunshine and rainbows. There will be times that I am just going to want to lay in my own bed and have the luxury of air conditioning. In Luke 9 Jesus was sending out his disciples and in verse six he said take nothing on your journey. Since AIM prolly won’t let me go without luggage, I had to think about actual baggage that we carry in our daily lives that hinder us from focusing on the one goal- An abundant Life. The point I’m trying to make is that I have laid all my selfish desires, fear, and nervousness at the feet of Jesus. 1 Timothy 6:11 says, “But you, Timothy, are a Man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.” I have to be obedient and give up a lot of possessions that we don’t even realize that we take for granted. I learned that during training camp as well. Verse 12 tells us to Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. We are called to make a difference but we don’t have to go at it alone, thats why we have the church. Due to the fact that we will be traveling abroad, W squad will become a church and I’m so excited about being a part of this long journey ahead.
I couldn’t have asked God for a better squad than the one he has blessed me with! W SQUAD, much love!
I want to thank everyone for the prayer and donations, you all are what is allowing me to do God’s work around the World.
Peace in the Streets!
