When you hear the phrase “I Will Not Be Shaken” what comes to mind?
I’ve heard that phrase serval times over in the past few months leading up to training camp, and I have taken into consideration that its a topic that needs to be discussed. As the greatest challenge of my life stands before me, I have felt feelings of fear and nervousness. I know the World Race is for me, but as I am preparing to leave my home, my safe place, the emotions are setting in for real.
When it feels like the world is crumbling around you, you always have God to lean on. The challenges of life are there for a reason and they shouldn’t intimidate or scare you. Psalm 62:6 says, ” He is my rock and foundation, my fortress where I will not be shaken” Though the battles we go trough in life are tough we cant give up. Galatians 6:9 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
I guess the point I’m trying to make is that as long as we have God on our side, nothing should intimidate us for we are his Children. God isn’t going to put you into a situation that you can not conquer, so the battles we face day to day shouldn’t shake the foundation that we are working so hard to build. I see so many of the people in my hometown get shaken by so many things like money, relationships, and anything else that could potentially misconstrue your vision of the kingdom. It’s easy to be distracted in the world we live in. Don’t let materialistic things shake who God has built you to be. We need a world of people who aren’t afraid to take a stand and be shameless of the person God has called you to be.
“I will not be shaken by the many tools that the enemy uses to try and destroy everything that I have devoted to the Glory of God.”
Peace in the Streets!
