So yes a group of us, eight in all including our contact Jim went to visit the cliffs of moher this past weekend. And along the way we were led by Jim to do some evangelism. This included passing out tracks and talking to people. Let me tell you want I really don’t like to do at all and that’s pass out tracks. I just don’t like throwing jesus on people forcefully and i feel that when passing out track that definitely happens. But i went along with it whatever. So i never really gave a track to anyone. But while we were in one town at a singles festival; which let me also say is really not a time when people want to hear about Jesus, cause they really only have one thing on the mind. I’m just being honest. Anyways so while were there we got to talk to some high school kids and it was really good. Well earlier i had the idea to just set the tracks on tables where people would sit. I was thinking at the time that it was a really weak effort in doing this evangelism. Well i was proven wrong. When we were all leaving one of the guys that was with me while i was laying these tracks on tables said that it did actually have an impact. So ya while we were split up into groups of like two or three some girls said they saw a woman looking at one of the tracks and ended up having like an hour conversation and got to pray with this woman.
All this to say that you should never doubt what the Lord can do through your attempts to be obedient. Just like me, who still somewhat thinks that passing out tracks doesn’t work. But i learned that if you do your best in sharing with people about Christ the Lord will bless you. And it wasn’t me preaching. It wasn’t me playing a song. It was me doing what i know how to do. So Lord remind us all to be open to new things and to share him with strangers. To remind them that you love them and you want to be in relationship with them. And the strangers might say ” WHAT DOES THAT LOOK LIKE.” HOW DO YOU HEAR FROM GOD.” And to that I ask how can you know about anything unless you try. You say I have tried. And that i understand. But knowing and hearing from God might mean knowing yourself and knowing what faith is. Isn’t it knowing what you can’t see. How else would you have free will to choose in God if there wasn’t an room to doubt.
But it is truth for me to say that in order for anyone to be good at anything it is because they put time into it. People are good at their jobs because that is what they do all the time. God is asking for all of our time, but he knows each our our individual needs. One of those is to be in community. Yes community which is essential and to acknowledge him. To simply put words towards him. He desires us to pray and hear from him through ourselves and others more that the sacrifices we make. SACRIFICES LIKE GONG ON A YEAR LONG MISSIONS’ TRIP.

Lord thank you for being you. Thank you for the grace you have shown us in sending your son to die and then sending your spirit to live in us. I mean we are a part of you cause you breathed life into us when you created us. You created us in your image. So Lord bless my family and friends back home, just as the prayers and sacrifices they are making are blessing me.
