The Pain Cuts Deep but God’s Love is Deeper Still
The pain cuts deep as I think about my past
How long must I wait, LORD, how long will this last?
The scars are real and my pain, it is true
Can you bring me out of it and unto You?
I fear rejection and think everyone will leave
But Your love is eternal; You proved that You will cleave
Even to the day that I trust in Your love
I will seek You and find You as my eyes look above
The circumstances that bring so much pain
Will lighten under Your miraculous cleansing reign
And then I will know this freedom that is mine
This hope that is given a servant who is Thine.
