Hi everyone!
I hope you’re doing well! I know it’s been a little while since my last post, and I wanted to write about some big changes that have been going on. For starters, I graduated college this past May (yay!). I am beyond blessed to have such an incredible support system, and I would not have been able to finish without the love and support of my amazing family and friends—thank you! Since graduating, I have continued working as a nanny and I have also spent some time traveling this summer. I went on a post-graduation-celebration trip to Iceland with my friend Kenzie (who is currently at launch for the August route!), I went home to Texas for about a week and a half and got to see a lot of family, and I just turned 21 this past week (woo hoo!).
So, now for the big news—after spending some time praying over my decision and really thinking about what God is calling me to do through the World Race, I have decided to change from the October route to the January 2020 Unscripted route! I feel God calling me to do something different, be something different, and I feel that’s exactly with this route is all about.
The unscripted route differs from the typical WR route in that instead of having a set host and ministry and being told what to do and where to go, my team and I will be relying on each other through praying and deciding what God is leading us to do. Every day might and will look different. While I’m not on the race yet and describing and defining “unscripted” is a bit difficult, I feel this intense desire to get out of the hustle and bustle of knowing exactly what comes next. In our society I think it’s so easy to feel this pressure from people of “what’s next?” and with unscripted, I feel like it will force me to really listen to what God is calling and leading me to do.
The change in routes does mean I will be traveling to a few different countries. So, now I will be going to:
Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Spain, Montenegro, Macedonia, Greece, Ethiopia, Kenya, India, and Nepal
I cannot wait to visit each of these amazing countries and see what God has in store for me and my team!
