The Lord has called me to five more
countries and five more months. I
have $2,500 left to raise in order to be fully fundraised. My deadline is July
1st.
A couple of years ago I attended a
Chicago church on assignment for one of my courses at MBI. At the end of the service the man that
preached approached me and prophesied that I would spread the love of God all
around the world. At the time I
was more concerned whether the extra virgin olive oil that was placed on my
forehead would cause me to break out or not. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought the prophecy
would come to fruition in a very literal way.
In fact, the world race has led me
on a journey in the Caribbean, South America, Central America and currently
Asia to be followed by Africa next month.
What a blessing it has been and I can only rejoice in the hope of what
is to come in the next 5 months as well.
I had not realized the true depth
of the depravity of man and the need of a Savior until I walked the streets of
a red light district in Thailand for the first time. I do not know what burdens my heart more: the women dressed
with both clothing and limitless flirtation to impress and seduce any customer,
the men masked as women who fit the same profile as the women previously
mentioned, the tourists enjoying the hustle and bustle of the busy area with
husbands, wives, and their children accepting the normality of the environment,
the men who attempt to be relieved of pain and loneliness for only monetary cost
to them, or the unborn and born children that are a product of a sold woman’s
job in the red light district.
My desire of telling you of what I
have witnessed is not to bring about a political or spiritual debate about what
should be done in the red light districts of the world. My desire is simply to make you aware
of the dire need of a Savior around the world. The Lord has called me to such a time as this.
