I am leaving America in less than 4 weeks. Crazy! I knew this day was coming when I signed up for the race, but I never imagined life would be as it is only days before I leave. This blog is meant to serve as an update to where I am spiritually, with funds, and changes in our route.
Spiritually
The Lord has me at a place of complete contentment. When I signed up for the race, my adventurous spirit was screaming for a journey and I knew full well that it would have been more difficult for me to stay in Illinois, than to leave. Ironically, as God often works, He switched things up on me. Now, I am preparing to leave with a heavy heart. I have so many at home and at school that I love and am loved by. Our love hasn’t changed in the past few months, I have simply begun to learn how to accept love and give it from the love of my Heavenly Father. As you are praying, I ask you to pray for me. I am having a difficult time with preparing to leave and have made the decision to seek after the Lord with all my heart, even if that does mean leaving those I love. Please pray for strength, wisdom, guidance, as well as a restful and intentional next few weeks as I begin to say goodbye to many who I will not see again until I cash in on my dual citizenship.
Funds
I was originally anticipating funds to be the most difficult part of preparing to go on the race. Instead, I am at peace. I know the Lord will provide, as He already has! It has been such an honor and a blast to watch my account grow as His faithful people have given so much. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. My goal was to be fully funded by the time I leave, but ironically that is no longer a concern of mine. He will provide. I still have just under $5,000 to raise, which is a lot of money I do not have. And yet, I know, in His timing it will come. So please join me in prayer. The Lord tells us if we ask in His name, He will give it. And I believe that with all of my heart.
Route
The route has officially changed for the second time. I am learning not to get attached to expectations of going to any particular places, but to truly shine in the place that the Lord has us. Therefore, (drum roll please)….Our new route is as follows:
