Today is day 50 of my World Race journey! Today also happens to be my dad’s birthday- Happy Birthday Dad!!! The love of a father is something really special. God is the ultimate father and He wants to love all of us the way we are (or should have been in some cases) loved by our earthly fathers. I’m lucky to have my dad in my life and I don’t know what I would do without him. One thing that father’s do is encourage their children. Our Father in Heaven is no different. So, in honor of my 50th day on the World Race, here are 50 pieces of encouragement that are rooted in the Lord and His promises.
1. You are loved!
2. You are talented.
3. You are valuable.
4. You deserve to be understood.
5. You are forgiven.
6. There is nothing you can do to make God stop loving you.
7. You don’t have to have it all together all the time.
8. You are NOT inadequate.
9. God is pursuing you and wants to know you personally.
10. You were made in the image of the Father.
11. You are more beautiful (or handsome, whatever floats your boat) than flowers, mountains, stars, and every other piece of nature.
12. Your worth is not based on your achievements.
13. You are more than the sum of your past mistakes.
14. You are a child of God.
15. You are unique.
16. God wants to hear your needs, your desires, and your questions.
17. You will never be forgotten.
18. It is never too late to change.
19. You are loved for who you are, exactly the way you are (the good and the bad).
20. You are important.
21. People may let you down but God never will.
22. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone.
23. You matter!
24. You have nothing to fear, not even death, with God on your side.
25. You are worthy.
26. You are special.
27. God delights in you.
28. You are not perfect and that is ok.
29. You are NOT a failure.
30. You are accepted.
31. Eternal life is a free gift available to you.
32. You are a treasure in the eyes of the Father.
33. Jesus knows everything about you, including your deepest darkest secrets, questions, doubts, and fears but He will never abandon you.
34. You are not alone.
35. You are cherished.
36. You are made new through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
37. You can find rest and comfort in the Father.
38. You are NOT a disappointment.
39. God wants to talk with you just like a father or friend.
40. You are stronger than you think you are.
41. You are chosen.
42. You have freedom in Christ.
43. You are redeemed.
44. You are enough.
45. When you have Jesus in your heart, you radiate his love and joy.
46. You are God’s masterpiece.
47. God is more powerful than any force on this Earth and He is on your side.
48. You are free from the power of sin.
49. God will never leave you nor forsake you.
50. Jesus died for you.
