We’ve made it people- this blog is the big 1-0-0.

This is the 100th blog I have written from the time I officially decided to go on the World Race in March of 2017.

These 100 blogs tell stories of my experiences.

These 100 blogs tell of people I have met and the impact that we have had on each other’s lives.

These 100 blogs detail really funny happenings and really hard things.

These 100 blogs explain lessons I’ve learned.

These 100 blogs show that the Lord is moving in my life and all over the world.

These 100 blogs tell the story of where I was before this experience and my growth over the course of the 10.5 months I have spent on the field.

If you’ve read every one of these 100 blogs (I’m looking at you mom and dad), you have a good idea of what this year has been. But, even if you’ve read every single blog, there are things you can’t know.

Things that I can’t put into words.

Things that are really hard.

Things that are really funny but don’t make sense out of context.

Things that were incredibly sweet but simply don’t turn out every time I sit down to write about them.

Things that I still don’t understand.

If you are a parent, family member, or friend of anyone who has gone on the World Race, trust me, your racer has stories- even if he or she doesn’t blog often. I’m a talker so I just write blogs as if I am talking to someone and that tends to work for me but for a lot of people, that’s difficult. And even then, as I mentioned earlier, there are plenty of things that I haven’t been able to write about. A racer has had a multitude of experiences but so many times, it is just impossible to put them into words- at least words that will form a coherent blog that someone might want to read.

Sometimes things are really personal and we just aren’t ready to share them when they happen and when we are, it seems silly to write a blog about month 3 in month 7.

Sometimes we need to process things with the Lord on a rest day and we just don’t have the energy afterwards to write a blog.

Sometimes we just aren’t the best at writing.

So, what I’m asking is simple. If you know and love a World Racer, whether he/she has written 1 blog or 100- ask about his/her experiences. We want to share them with you just don’t say “tell me everything.” Ask us specific questions, maybe about a certain month- you’ll get much better answers that way. And don’t forget that we want to know the things we’ve missed in your life as well! We’ve been gone a long time and life has gone on for you also.

In the same way that an autobiography can never compare to actually meeting someone, reading our blogs, no matter how few or how many, cannot perfectly summarize our experiences. There are things that simply cannot be explained via a blog from thousands of miles of away. Whether you’ve read every single blog I’ve posted or none at all, there is still so much more that I want to share with you.

Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any specific questions, prayer requests, or just want to know more! I’d love to talk to you!
