I’ve noticed recently how difficult it can be to keep a posture of praise when difficult things happen. I’ve seen how easy it is to let stress and fear eat away at us. I have let fear and stress get to me. I have let my circumstances effect my mood a lot more than I would like to admit. I’m learning that trusting the lord instead of the world takes lot more than saying everything is okay when it isn’t. It’s saying it isn’t okay but God is good and He has a perfect plan and I trust that far more than my own. It’s more about seeing the facts and sayig no to satan and yes to God. It’s saying this situation might suck and it’s scary but I know a God who is so much bigger than this and I will praise Him anyway. I will make the choice to praise Him even when my flesh screams to run into hiding.

Today I am choosing to sing a new song. I’m inviting you to sing one with me. Sing a song of praise. I’m not saying it will be easy. The truth is, it will be difficult and you probably will fail. I know I will. So sing anyway. Praise Him anyway because He is good and honest and the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Praise Him for He brings healing. He works miracles. Pray big prayers today because there is nothing more powerful than our God.

Here is some scripture that encouraged me to praise Him today. I hope it does the same for you.

Psalm 149:1-5

Praise the Lord. Sing to the Lord a new song. his praise in the assembly f his faithful people. Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with timbrel and harp. For the Lord takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with victory. Let his faithful people rejoice in his honor and sing for joy on their beds.

Psalm 91:1-5

It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High, proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what your hands have done. How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!

Psalm 52:8-9

But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in Gods unfailing love forever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name for your name is good.

Psalm 34:4-10

I sought the Lord and he answered me; he delivered me from al my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; he saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delvers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Psalm 47

Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. For the Lord Most High is awesome, the great King over all the earth. He subdued nations under us, peoples under our feet. He chose our inheritance for us, the pride of Jacob, whom he loved. God has ascended amid shuts of joy, the Lord amid the sounding of trumpets. Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises. For God is the King of all the earth; sing to him a psalm of praise. God reigns over the nations; God is seated on his holy throne. The nobles assemble as the people of the God of Abraham, for the kings of the earth belong to God; he is greatly exalted.

I hope you were able to find some sort of comfort or peace in these scriptures and I hope you make it your goal to choose into praising Him today. He is worth all the praise and honor and glory. Every single day, forever and ever. Be blessed!
