3 Faces, Different Places, God’s Graces

Face Number One: Cormina, 7 years old

So this little girl, named Corina, with a fiery personality captured my heart today. She ran up to me with huge green eyes and jumped into my arms. She was covered in dirt and grime. Smelled terrible and was the one I mentioned above screaming in my face (The worst behaved children always flock to me!). We were walking from one little village to another and I noticed that she started repeating everything (at a much higher decibel) that I was saying. So I started making proclamations. As I did, she was calling herself a child of God, claiming freedom in Christ, and proclaiming that she was going to know the King. I then began praying (or screaming) in the Spirit… And there she was, praying the perfect will of the Father. Who knows what pieces of heaven she called down today.

Face Number Two: Joseph, 40 years old

The pastor invited me into Joseph’s home, but only asked me because he said the house was too small. The door creaked open and I slid in, opening the door as little as possible as to keep the heat in the house. Once inside, I was shocked to see a man laying on a bed, a woman sitting beside him, and a baby sitting on the other bed. The entire house was a 6 foot by 6 foot room. the only standing room was the 8 inch space between the beds. I couldn’t believe that a three people actually lived there. Then, through the pastor translating, he told me that he had a total of 6 children… Who all live in that house.

Joseph had just had surgery. Despite his living situation, and his injury, he is still hopeful that God can and wants to heal him. He hobbled outside and allowed us to all gather around him, pray and sing songs over him. Even the street children joined in. What faith it is to believe that God loves you when you live the way Joseph does.

(A few of Joseph’s kids… I wanna take the baby home with me)

(Along with the 6 children there’s also a pet turtle and 2 cats)

Face Number Three: Lady in hospital, 70 years old

We went to the hospital yesterday to pray over the sick. As we were praying for two ladies in the cancer ward, another lady in the bed across the room was motioning for us to come and talk to her. She had the look of desperation in her eye. She reminded me much of the way the lady with constant bleeding must have looked before she touched fringe on Jesus’ robe.

She began crying and motioning to parts of her body that hurt. I didn’t learn her name, like the bleeding lady, but I learned her heart. Her husband died 18 years ago. She has possible lung caner, a problem in her bones that make them brake easily, and an inflamed shoulder. She lives in constant pain, complete darkness, and hopelessness. She was crying out for freedom. The three of us (Lumi, the translator, Lauren Ricks, and myself) prayed over her. While praying, I felt the presence of God. He was there in the room, His Spirit was tangible, and his love thick. I stared into the eyes of Jesus and I knew that healing was taking place. The Spirit told me she was feeling heat in sick areas, and that she was being slain in the Spirit. After one person would pray, she would tell us how she felt. Each time, she said that that the area we prayed over felt extremely hot, as if it was on fire. She also told us the pain was not there any longer. She couldn’t stop crying.

She then mentioned that she thought someone had placed a curse on her. So I prayed over her that the curse would be lifted. I called down freedom from heaven and spoke life to her body. I asked her how she felt and she said that she felt a cloud lift off of her, that there was more peace in her. Yesterday, I tasted the power of God. I saw and felt His healing hand… And I think it was because she was desperate. Desperate for a miracle and FULL of faith, just like the lady who touched the fringe of Jesus’ cloak.

In two days, God has done all of this and MUCH more. God is blowing me away with his power and might. HE LOVES THESE PEOPLE! I cannot say that any louder.
