Hello All! (Finally!)
My name is Kaitlyn Wood – originally from Florida but raised in Nashville, TN. I am 23 years old and have been a Critical Care nurse for 2 years now- I love it but am very ready to get out in the world!
I have grown up in the church with amazing parents and supportive brothers- I am the only girl- its been a good time 🙂 When I was young, my parents became involved with the resettlement of refugees in Nashville, mainly from Sudan. My parents then adopted several Sudanese boys. My family is very large- and this initiated my love of the nations and the desire to know the heartbeat of each nation.
During college, I lived in Siguatepeque, Honduras for a while, interning with an orphan and widow ministry. While I was there, I was broken and built back up again- there I learned -GOD IS FAITHFUL-.
A little about me: I am a very down to earth, easy going person- but very passionate about things I really care about. I think I'm funny, I love being outside, sports, music, I am creative and an abstract thinker- I love food! Fav colors turquoise and purple!
I am very adventurous and love to travel- i hate resorts because i cant actually meet anyone or learn about the culture I'm around.
I think I'm one of the last ones to post a blog about me – but I'm very stoked to meet everyone and start this journey. I cannot wait to be in community with people that have a little of the same heart as I do and I'm excited to embark on this life changing journey!
