So it has come to my attention that current/past racers have presented an idea for people to support them in a different way than just handing them money. And I thought this was a great idea, so I decided to bring it up to all of you 🙂 I have purchased most of my "major" gear items, such as my pack and my tent, but there are still some items that I need/would like to have while traveling. I have compiled a list of these things, as well as the details such as what size/colour I'd like, so that you have the option of purchasing these items for me, as a tangible way for you to support me. You would get to see where exactly your money is going, plus you would have the privilege of being thought of every time I used the item! I know, huge motivator there! I'll provide the links to where each item is located online, so you have the option to purchase these things online and have them shipped right to me, or you can go in to your local outdoor/camping store and look for the specific items there. MEC Pack Rain Cover: Like I said, it sounds like we'll be coming across some rain… so this would be great, especially for travel days. I would need the cover for 60L-80L packs, since my pack is 70L. And let's be honest, the colour called "sulphur" is fantastic – my squad will never be able to lose me!

Black Diamond Storm Headlamp: Yes, I do need this stylish piece of equipment. It sounds like we'll be tenting for the majority of the trip, so this will be my means of light in the dark (other than my bible of course 😉 – HA, get it?). I've done some research on headlamps and this one sounds like it's the best. Plus it's waterproof! I like the colour "dark shadow".

MEC Airline Tote: Seeing as I'll be travelling to 11 countries over the course of 11 months, by means of many different (and unknown) forms of transportation, there is no doubt in my mind that my pack will receive quite the beating. Which is why I would LOVE to have this handy piece of equipment to put my pack inside so that it stays protected. Since my pack is on the larger side (70L), I will need the medium.

?Onsight Hiker's Mosquito Shelter: Pretty self-explanatory – no doubt we will be in some countries during their mosquito season and I'd rather not get eaten alive 🙂 If you want me to come home in one piece, consider buying this for me!

Slap Strap Pro – ENO: I read about a lot of World Racers who have brought a hammock along and loved it. So I invested in an ENO hammock! I've tried it out and I absolutely love it, and I know I'll love having it along on my trip so that some nights, wherever I am, I can sleep suspended in the glorious outdoors and enjoy God's creation firsthand. Unfortunately though, I have to purchase the straps separately so that I can hang it.
