So since my last blog post was about all of the things I miss about home, I figured I should write a list with things that I’m thankful for – you know, to even things out.
I’ve been learning a lot lately that thankfulness is a key to fully experiencing the salvation and freedom that I have been given as a gift by Jesus.
Which means that when I’m being ungrateful, I’m missing out on that freedom!
Crazy, right?
So even though it’s not even close to Thanksgiving, I still wrote a list of things I’m grateful for, even in the midst of my homesickness.
I’m thankful for being able to travel the world.
I’m thankful for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, thankfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
I’m thankful that I don’t have to do all of the above things myself.
I’m thankful I know the Creator of the world personally.
I’m thankful that I’m not living a stagnant, mundane existence.
I’m thankful that Jesus pushes me every day to be more of who I’m meant to be.
I’m thankful for dreams.
I’m thankful that I have friends all over the world.
I’m thankful that I have unforgettable memories with these friends – memories of travelling the world and experiencing the Lord’s leading in finding them.

I’m thankful that I have the freedom to worship my Maker wherever, whenever.
