This month has been incredible, incredible India.  I could leave it at that, but I'll explain a little more so you can soak in, just that.

I love the people here at Jireh.

We’ve been teaching English—which, even for English speakers is often difficult, you know that parts of speech work because its how you say them.  But you don’t always know why.  So, we’re giving it a go.  Teaching alphabet letters, sounds, songs, reading books with them and letting them be creative in writing their own stories… letting them dream and dream BIG.  To think and think of the best things.  They’ve been learning and growing so much!

If there was a word to describe this month so far, it would be BLESSING.  The ministry we’ve been with, the people, their passions, their hearts so on fire for God, the way they've served us and how we're learning to be the heartbeat of Christ here as well.  Its a month that we've truly got to grow deep in what our name is.

I’ve had SICK quiet times reading through books of the bible and learning A LOT more about God’s spirit, alive in us and with us wherever we may go.  Its only began to unveil some of the mysteries that are there.

I feel like the word is like a guitar that I’ve tuned.  There is SO many wonderful things that I hear now because I’ve learned to be in tune with the word, truth, and promises of God.  There are melodies within it that get stuck in my head during the day, a lot of goodness.  Powerful thoughts, prophecies, "meaty scripture," as I'd like to term it, that fills you up.  There is SO much power in the word.  SO many truths that are mountain moving.  And so much that keeps me in awe of the love of our Papa and hungry for more.  I'll reiterate…. SO MUCH GOODNESS.

The sunsets are beautiful.  If you were staying at my home this month in Bangalore, you’d walk with me to the rooftop in the evenings at sunset, and look to the southeast at radiant colors.  The pinks, oranges and yellows that bedazzle the sky.  The colors just dancing across minute after minute getting their last steps done before the sun goes down.

If you were with me, you’d be captivated by the kids.  You’d wonder how in the world anyone would ever be able to leave ministry this month.  Believe me, its a question I don't want to remind myself of as my time dwindles down here.

They asked me to be their official International Volunteer, along with one other lady, Brittany, whom volunteered here in May.  Its exciting, so you'll be hearing more about that later.

If you asked me to pinpoint all the reasons I love this place, it’d be the fact that I did come into this month with expectations.  Although I shouldn't have, I did.  I thought it would MUCH resemble my first time in India.  That’d I’d walk in a confused state with some sort of undeniable longing to be here, but it being too much all at one time.

But its been crazy different and all SO good for my soul.   I’ve gotten to lead bible studies, teach music, English & a Christmas play for the Children.  Sing in front of a church, playing my guitar– (when would I have done so before?) Lead a worship session for my team, spend avid time with the Lord in the wee hours of the morning (who knew I could wake up early?) And be growing deeper with my team.  Getting to pour out love with the kids day after day.

I’ve enjoyed all aspects of that.  Its been crazy beautiful. Sometimes we’re exhausted.  And some nights we go on the roof and stargaze
(one of my favorite things in the whole entire world). Other times we sit around and laugh, or I write silly songs with Vanessa while we serenade the rest of our team.  We’ve spent an adequate amount of time praying and making a list of the BIG things we know our God can do this year, not as a challenge, but just because we know our God can and will move in BIG ways if it’s the desire of our hearts.  And we’re praying together and we’re believing the spirit will move in incredible ways.  You’d be amazed to see how things are changing. And how much growth is happening. And you'd know that your prayers and financial support are making a difference in the nations.
Thank you.

with love, from India.
