After 45 hours of travel we made it to Cambodia!! It was a huge relief to finally be here. Once we landed we had a 3 1/2 hour drive to where we’re staying. We are living at the orphanage we’re working at for the next month. As we pulled up we heard the kids screaming and smiling! They were so excited to see us!! It was a huge encouragement to all of us to get out and have kids hugging us and just excited to see us! Leaving home was hard but living with the orphans has helped me so much because I’m always around kids at home. The country and people here are beautiful! I’ve been incredibly blessed with an amazing team and leader! Yesterday was our first day of ministry and we taught the kids English from 8:30-10:30 and then 3-5. This will be our normal ministry Monday-Friday and then Saturdays we have a rest/adventure day and Sunday’s we have church! We break in the middle of the day because of the heat. We went on a walk around the village on Thursday and the kids came with us. They showed us their school and we got to play with them on their playground for a little while. Yesterday the kids took us to the rice field to play football with them! It was so cool to go out there and just spend time with them! Today we went out to an area that is a jungle/ruins of temples and on our way out stopped at a place on the side of the road for our host to get minutes for his phone and ended up spending like 30/45 minutes there with the family. It was really cool to just spend time there because it wasn’t even planned! I am loving Cambodia so far and am excited to see what God has for this next month!!

My amazing team!

Our host’s wife and son!

This is Yinh, the first night we arrived she hugged me and has hung out with me since! She is super sweet♥?. The kids all put flowers in our hair Thursday, which in Cambodia is a sign of royalty/honor.

First day of ministry!

This is Samyong, he has such a silly personality! He is the newest of the orphans.

Some of the beauty of Cambodia!

Fun fact: in Cambodia gasoline is in these bottles and the just pour it through a funnel into your bike..

This is a little baby I got to hold today when we stopped on the side of the road. ♥?
