I am so excited to tell you all about my ministry this month. First off, I am working with a local evangelical church, in the heart of Stip. We participate in all that the church is doing here, which is quite a bit. From Sunday Services, getting to share our testimonies and preaching, to working with a group of adults with special needs. We also are working in their youth groups, prayer meetings, and working with a church they have just planted in a nearby city.
In the times that we aren’t at the church, we spend our time in the city square building relationships with different women, doing house visits to pray for the elderly in the church, and playing sports with local kids, to share the good news.
The church members are mostly men, who have some incredible stories! Most of the men are recovered addicts, who have found heeling from the Lord, and are now married with kids. They are some of the rawest church members I have met on the race, thus far, and their love for The Lord just oozes out of them.
There are few women, but the women that come, are women coming from a lot of abuse. They are some of the sweetest, and strongest women I have met. They continually choose Him, even when it makes no sense for them to.
We are in the works of planning some awesome retreats for the women, to share their stories, find more freedom, and encourage one another! I am so pumped to see what comes from this!
It has been such a joy to serve in this church, and be consistently encouraged by their stories. God is doing some marvelous things here, and I’m excited to share more stories with you all!
