This month in Cambodia, one of the areas The Lord has called me to go deeper in, is prayer. I have practiced this month, waking up a little earlier just to surrender my day to Him, as the first thing I do. I have also been challenged by some of my teammates to write down my prayers daily. Recently, The Lord reminded me of this verse,

So, I say to you: Ask it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be opened.  – Luke 11:9-10

What stood out to me about this verse was the word “will”. Ask and it WILL be given, seek and you WILL find, knock and the door WILL be opened. Jesus is making a bold promise to us here, that if we ask we WILL, absolutely, for sure, receive if it’s in Gods will.

Also, I read the book The Circle Maker, which talks about being persistent in your prayers. To pray the same prayer until it comes to fruition, even if that takes ten years.

So, all this to say, I would love it if you guys could join me in this. How powerful could a prayer be if not only I am circling it every day, but if all my supporters were, too?! Whether that be you praying it once, or every day for a week, or month, I know God WILL do some super powerful things through that. I have written a prayer below that will give you an idea of what I’m praying. You can pray this exact prayer for me or add things as you want!

Jesus,

I come to you humbly, and ask for some big prayers. Lord, I pray that you are constantly fixing my eyes on you. I pray that you help me better understand the love you have for your children, and who I am to you. Father, continue to peel away any parts of me that are not of you, and shape me into who you designed me to be. I pray you speak loud and clear to me, whether that be audibly, or through visions and dreams. Lord, break my heart for what breaks yours. Keep me thirsty for your word, and hungry for full communion with you. Help me find complete contentment in you alone. Lord, give me the words to speak to the people I meet this next month. Let everything I do, reflect your goodness. I pray in this month to come, that you bring many opportunities for my team and I to share you. I pray for everyone we are ministering to have open and receptive hearts. Jesus, help me look more like you every day. Lord, I know you want all these things for me, and I will wait in eagerness to see what beauty you will bring from this prayer. Thank you, Lord, for coming close always. Thank you for keeping your promises. Jesus, I love you, and it’s in your name I pray these things, Amen.

I also have started to write down prayers for family and friends back home. I would love to be praying for you all, while you are praying for me. If you have any prayer request, I would love if you would drop them below, or direct message me! Much love!
