I’ve always had a heart and a passion for business; I love everything about it.

When we were at Mission of Hope, I was introduced to the social enterprise, 3 Cords. I was absolutely enthralled. 3 Cords provides full-time work for handicapped women. It started after the earthquake that occurred in 2010.

3 Cords funds Prosthetics of Hope, which makes limbs and gives Hope to those that are in need. They currently care for over 150 prosthetic patients, and are looking to provide even more care to people in the future.

Hearing about 3 Cords, I immediately wanted to learn more about the business side, which was why I was thrown off when I felt the Spirit nudging me in a completely different direction.

He was encouraging me to check out the prosthetics lab.

Say whatttt.

Medical missions and I don’t mix together. I was initially freaked out when I felt that urge to look into it. But, I trusted God and so I asked to learn more about the medical side.

Katie, Tristiaña, and I were able to spend a full day with Nono and learn about what he does. It’s truly incredible. Nono not only gives people new limbs, but a new chance at life.

He’s a one man show. He’s the designer, doctor, all of the above. It was humbling spending time with him and getting to know his patients. I would never have even guessed that his patients were amputees if I saw them walking down the street.

Being with Nono stretched me in new ways, I have a newfound respect for medical missions. It’s amazing giving people medical care and giving people Hope.

Mere words can’t describe how awesome Nono’s ministry is, so I’ve attached a link to a video I made of our time with him. It’s truly something else. (Will be attached when I have WiFi.)
