It’s 3:45a.m. and it’s finally starting to hit me as I’m sitting on the floor in the Atlanta airport, surrounded by my squad.
As I sit here, I’m reminded of that moment 10 months ago, when the Spirit called me to be sent…and I said, “Yes.”
Looking back, these past 10 months seemed like 10 years. So much has happened and I’m astounded at the direction that my life has taken.
God is so good.
All the sacrifice, hard work, and energy planning for this mission trip have led up to this.
Am I ready?
No, I’m honestly not ready. I don’t feel fully equipped to do God’s work.
But God doesn’t call the equipped, He equips those He calls.
So I rest in the knowledge that God has me in the palm of His hands. In 2 Corinthians 12:10 it says, “For when I am weak, then I am strong.” Such a beautiful reminder as I begin this new season.
In a few short hours, we’ll be leaving America for 11 months. Choosing to live in community with one another, spreading the kingdom, and living radically for Jesus.
Here’s to running full speed and jumping off a cliff, arms stretched wide, free falling into the Father’s embrace.
Next stop, Haiti.
Camping out at the Atlanta airport. Starting off the race with a bang!
