May I just say, training camp has been one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! From the bucket showers, to the fitness hike, to the numerous sessions, to the nights in my tent, and to the small portions of food, I wouldn’t take any of it back. Sure, I wish I had a blow dryer for my hair and a normal bathroom to ready myself, but I survived.

The first day, I really didn’t know what to expect. I just met one of my squadmates in the airport so I had someone to travel with, I met all of my leaders in one day, I realized that my bathroom was a porta-potty, and I learned that I would be tearing down my tent the following morning. It took all of my strength to not burst out in tears in front of sixty people that I just met. I wanted to go home, but I wanted to stick it out and prove to myself that I could do it. And what do you know, I made it!

There’s so much more I want to say, so I’ll break it up into other blogs that deal with each section. Stay tuned and keep reading!

Here’s some pictures!

This is my team. From left to right: Destiny, Anna Katherine, Lillian, Emily, myself, Luba, Emmy

This was our campsite the whole time

This is my entire squad. I’m not going to name the people because that’s a lot to go through.

Just me and my team again!
