Hello Family and Friends,
I just Wanted to Update you all on a little bit of what we have done and learned so far in Cambodia.
So first of all can you believe it has been 2 weeks already? My goodness the time has been flying. Before you know it we will be in Thailand.
These first few weeks we have been doing a lot of training. We have been learning about Kingdom living and how to bring ministry to our everyday life and applying it all the time even after the race. Which I personally believe is the best way of living. Learning to seek the out what God wants us to do everyday and taking that concept and bringing it everywhere we go. Even if that ends up not exactly what we are thinking will happen. Basically Just trusting the Holy Spirit in yourself and also the Holy Spirit in Our team.
We have a total of 18 people of our squad. We are splitting up into 4 different groups. Yesterday we just found out our teams. It was a bittersweet day knowing now that some of the people we have made connections with we wont see for possibly months after we break up.
I was asked to be team lead for our group. This brings me excitement in knowing that God has entrusted me to our team but I also know this will be a stretching experience for me as well. Our team name is CAKE. We are team CAKE because of our names; Cari, America, Kaelyn and Emily. When we founded our team name we also found a squishy stuffed cake at a party store, this will be our team mascot. You will be seeing lots of different posts with pictures of our squishy cake. We also got some fake tattoos for some bonding time.
I am very excited for team cake and what God is going to do within us. Please Continue to pray for our squad and for team CAKE. Also if I could get some prayers for the bug bites that would be great too!! 🙂
