seriously, living on a prayer.

I've had a number of fundraising ideas coming at me for 3 months;

and I've prayed and prayed and prayed,

and the Lord has said, "wait. wait. wait."

it's funny, because even after my whole life being rearranged in perfect timing for me to race in September, I've still been asking the Lord for confirmation that this is where He wants me. I guess I wasn't satisfied with the $100 check I got from a woman I met on a plane, or the $500 donation from a woman I met in a bar, or the way my work so wonderfully has supported me and extended an opportunity to go back after the race, or the way my friends have stepped up and given more than they have to give; I  was still waiting for Jesus to look me in the eye and say "yes, this is where I want you."

…but every time I've wanted to know what I need to do next to fundraise, God just says, "wait."

…so I've been waiting…

and now I've got $7,441.48 sitting in my support account!!

I've got all the confirmation I need, and I've got the funds to leave the country – I'm just over halfway funded. I have $7,358.52 left to raise before I'm fully funded. If someone had told me when I sent out my support letters on March 18th that by July 18th I would have been halfway funded, I would have laughed.

Future racers: The LORD provides. Cling to that.

If you're considering supporting me: I invite you to pray about it. Ask the Lord if this is something that He would have you be a part of. It costs about $3.50 per day for me to eat on the race; a donation of any amount is absolutely invaluable and it makes you a part of something so much bigger than yourself. it makes you a part of each country I will visit with my squad, it makes you a part of God's Kingdom coming to earth to meet His children where they are.

To my supporters: THANK YOU SO MUCH! You're changing my life, and you're changing the world. The Lord has used you to reveal to me a part Himself that I wasn't sure existed before, and I hope and pray that you are drawn nearer to Him through this!!

and as a treat, here's a little glimpse of what really happens at WR training camp:
