Today I was playing with my friend’s two kids. Gideon is a four-year old boy and Michal is a two-year old girl.
Gideon took his light saber, stabbed me (gently) with it and said, “You’re frozen!”
So I froze.
Michal touched me with a heart-shaped toy and said, “I saved you…now play…”
Gideon came back, pointed his saber at me and declared, “You’re frozen!”
I froze again.
Michal gave me a puzzled look and said, “Kacie…I already saved you…You can’t get frozen again…Play!”
Sounds simple, but there are many times…sometimes even many times a day…when I hear the deceiver or allow my own flesh to shout things at me. Things that have rendered me paralyzed…or frozen…and only because, in that moment, I chose to believe that voice…and then willingly became frozen…
But then Jesus looks at me and says, in a voice just as sweet as that little girl, “Kacie…I already saved you…You CAN’T get frozen again…now live!”
God’s good…like super good… ![]()
And these are the precious kiddos that imparted such wisdom today ![]()

LOVE THEM!!! (And their momma!!!)
