Flags.

Did I mention I had asked the Lord for flags?

Well, I didn’t really ASK Him…

I actually was praying for my squad…back in May of this year.

I was praying for our worship times together

I was praying that we would be free to worship…

And that we would leave our comfort zones…

And just be free to do whatever the Lord was asking of us in that moment…

Without caring what the person next to us thought about it…

And then, I heard the word, Flags.”

What?

Flags.

No…surely not.

I didn’t even like flags.

And Father…I didn’t mean me out of MY comfort zone…

Flags.

But how am I going to get flags out here…in Ukraine.

Someone would have to give them to me. I can’t buy them out here.

I don’t even know what they mean or what they represent.

Flags.

He was very clear.

So, I began to ask Him about them…and I asked mentors about them…then I messaged my cousin about them.

My cousin, Ali Kendrick, was still on the field with H-squad.

I remembered seeing flags in some of her pictures.

For those of you who don’t know, I was originally with H-squad. H-squad launched in July 2012, and I even went to training camp with them for four glorious days.

But that route wasn’t for me.

So, Ali got back to me, and told me to ask their squad leader, Rachel Ritsema, about the flags. Rachel got back to me, and said to have Ali bring them home with her, mail them to my squad coaches, and have them bring them to me in Month 6 (South Africa).

Someone was going to GIVE ME flags.

So, in South Africa, I received the flags from the squad I had started on. We used them through Mozambique and Swaziland.

And then, yesterday happened.

Yesterday, I was sitting in my room, and my friend, Kylie, came and said, “Rachel’s here…”

“Who?”

“Rachel…with red hair…”

“Ritsema????”

I ran out, and hugged that amazing woman. She had just arrived to Swaziland to live there and work with one of the ministries. She would be working with young girls, and before she came over from the States, she had asked if people would donate some flags for her to bring to the ministry for the girls to use.

None had been donated.

I looked at her and smiled.

“Girl, these are yours…take them.”

I started on H-squad.

Which is where I met Rachel Ritsema.

The Lord told me in May, which was the FINAL month that H-squad was on the field, that I needed to get some flags.

Because I asked a few questions, Ali was able to bring them home with her and send them out to me.

And then three months later, when Rachel needed them, the Lord brings us to the same place at the same time.

To the last of the kingdoms…to Swaziland…which many people haven’t even heard of.

And He gives His daughter one of the desires of her heart.

Rachel got her flags.

And the Lord started getting them for her in MAY.

Is this life we live not crazy??

Isn’t it crazy how our Father just so actively pursues and loves on us???

You have to love Him…you just have to.
