I have two sisters that are in need of support to meet the next financial deadline. Both are around $1400 away from the $11,000 deadline, which is at the end of this month.
I know you may not know them, you may not even know me, but know that they are worthy of your support and that you will be blessed immensely through it!
Let me introduce you to my girls:
Melanie Heath
A girl who brings spunk and joy into every situation we walk into. She seriously sees everyday as a new one, and when we encounter what may seem ordinary to some, it’s as if she’s seeing it for the first time. She brings enthusiasm, curiosity, eagerness to learn, and life to our team.
And that’s just for our team…selfishly, this is why she needs to stay…
- She greets me with a hug if we’ve been apart for more than 3 hours.
- She’ll eat the popcorn kernels from each bowl I pop, so none goes wasted.
-
She dances with me in worship

- She’s seeking what the Lord has for her, which is contagious. And her questions keep me digging in the Word myself.
- She’s the only person who has ever called me “Kacie Kac”, and something would be missing if I didn’t hear that.
- She reminds me that even the daily life is worth getting excited about.
Now, for Estie Barnes…
This is a girl that desires depth, and pushes our team to seek that. Her laugh is contagious, and she laughs with freedom. She is never afraid of any task set before her (or if she is, she pushes through the uncomfortable and you’d never suspect her fear). She cares and tends to hearts, desiring to see those around her whole.
For my personal reasons…
- She gets up early with me for coffee and the Word…we’re a little bit like an old couple.
-
She’s my running/insanity/let’s-do-something-active buddy…work-outs are no fun alone
. - I always laugh with her…one day last month she had to go to the clinic because she’d been sick for days. She and I spent over 12 hours in a hospital room…and it was one of the best days I’ve had on the Race thus far. I don’t know that foreign clinic + sick friend should equal a fun time…but that day, it did.
- She’ll call me out on things…things that I need to be called out on.

Jacquelyn, Me, Estie, and Melanie
Life on the Race without these two girls would not be the same. They are both vital parts to the Maidens of Valor’s venture forward. I tear up as I write this because it would literally break my heart to have to say good-bye to these girls.
I know the Lord will provide for them. I know their deadlines will be met. I just wanted to give whoever’s reading this an opportunity for it to be through you.
If you do want to support them or learn more about them so you can pray for them, their blog links are at the left-hand side of this page.

As always, thanks for reading my blog and to my supporters, thank-you SO MUCH for what you have done and are doing. I love your comments and emails, and your prayers are continually sustaining me ![]()
Much love,
Kacie
