As I was talking on the phone with a dear friend of mine tonight, and sharing with her about how World Race things are going and how I’m feeling about it all, I found myself saying over and over things like, “I just can’t believe it’s happening”. “It feels like a dream!”. “It’s so surreal.” “This is so crazy!”

But in the midst of trying to imagine what these 11 months are going to be like, let alone put into words how I feel about it all and how soon it’s happening, she reminded me of Ephesians 3:20.

Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

What does God have to offer us? Immeasurably more. The definition of immeasurable is: incapable of being measured; limitless.

The thing is, God doesn’t have just the bare minimum to offer us, He is LIMITLESS.

The Amplified version sure has a good way of describing God’s ‘immeasurably more’ – He is able to do superabundantly, far over and above all that we dare ask or think – infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams.

Let that sink in for a minute.

Superabundantly. Not just abundantly more, but SUPER-abundantly more. He is limitless, able to do far over and above all that we could dare to think or ask, beyond our biggest dreams. Wow! What a BIG God we serve!

As the World Race gets closer and closer these verses are becoming so real in my life.

What the World Race is and the mission and heart behind the Race is absolutely amazing. I see it in the stories I’ve read, the videos I’ve watched, the pictures I’ve seen from other World Racers, just how limitless our God is. And the Lord is allowing me to be a part of it?! That in itself is immeasurably more than my wildest dreams. It truly leaves me speechless that He would give me this opportunity!

Even in the process of fundraising, I’ve already seen Him go far above and over what I could have ever asked. He has provided so abundantly!

It’s hard to imagine what these 11 months on the Race and beyond are going to look like, and quite frankly it can be a little intimidating to think about, but that’s the thing, it’s not always clear what the Lord has planned for us or how He will use us. Sometimes it doesn’t make much sense, and sometimes it’s so scary and nerve-racking.

But I think it’s when we begin to grasp the vastness of God’s love for us, (Read Ephesians 3:16-19, ready, set, GO!) that our hearts and lives start changing and begin to line up more with His. When we come to know and experience this crazy love, this is when God’s power that is working in and through us becomes limitless. Why? Because we become less concerned about ourselves and our comforts and we become more about Jesus. He becomes our focus. More of Him, less of me. 

This is when God moves mountains, in and through us. This is when God does super abundantly more than we could ever think.

You may or may not know this, but squads have a letter of the alphabet that becomes their own. My squad is the D Squad!! And we have already come up with a name for ourselves – Dauntless. The definition of dauntless is: not to be daunted or intimidated; fearless; intrepid; bold.

With the definition of dauntless in mind, and then reading verse 20, knowing that the power of Christ is and will be working in and through me, this power that is limitless, capable of immeasurably more, I don’t know about you but that gives me the courage to be dauntless. To be bold. Not just on the Race either, but with my life. And I pray that it does you too. Friends, the same power that raised Jesus from the grave, overcoming death, that limitless power is available to us!

I absolutely cannot wait to see what ‘immeasurably more’ The Lord has in store throughout these next 13 months and beyond. I am just so in awe of Him and so grateful to be on this journey with Him and with all of you.
