Going along with the 11n11 theme of the World Race, here are 11 things about me. Some are completely random and some not so much.

  • I am 24 years of age.
  • I have two awesome parents and am 1 of 3 kids. I have an older brother and a younger brother (yep, I'm in the middle), a sister-in-law, and an adorable 1 year old nephew.
  • I was born and raised in Chanute, KS. I have lived here my entire life, other than the 3 years I spent living in Topeka, KS attending Washburn University.
  • I have left the country only once. I spent 10 days in Honduras and that's all it took for me to fall in love with that beautiful country. Though I haven't traveled to too many places at all, I have a huge desire to see the world!
  • I love a good thunderstorm and rainy day anytime of the year. And while we are on the subject of weather, fall is my favorite season, hands down.
  • I love coffee…like a lot!
  • I am the youth director of our middle and high school youth group at my church. I also have the privilege of leading one of our church services on Sunday mornings. It has been a very humbling experience.
  • I was a nanny for my nephew this last year. I got to see him just about every single day for his first year of living. What a blessing! I think God did that for a reason. He knew I would be leaving for 11 months in the near future. I'm no longer watching my nephew but God provided me the opportunity to nanny for another little boy who isn't quite 3 months old yet. Needless to say, I love babies!
  • I never graduated from college. That's another story for another time though. While I have every intention of going back someday, until then God keeps giving me so many amazing opportunities that I would have missed out on had I been in school. Time and time again He has reassured me in different ways that there are other things He wants me to be doing at this time in my life, the World Race being one of them.
  • I'm not a fan of salads. I've tried all kinds of dressings and different toppings and I just can't do it. However, if there are croutons on the salad, I will definitely eat the croutons! 🙂
  • I am saving the best for last. Jesus! He is the biggest part of my life. I just really love Him a lot. I can't believe that I am getting the opportunity to travel all over sharing this incredible love I have found with people all over the world, bringing the Gospel to the nations.

Whether I know you or not, if you are taking the time to read this, I am so looking forward to sharing this incredible journey with you. Thank you for being a part of it!
