Hey y’all, today I wanted to share a quick testimony because, the Lord is moving in mighty ways and bringing freedom! Light is flooding into the darkness!
Its so exciting to see things like this happening all around us and the Lord is truly working! Jesus said in John 8 that He is “the Light of the world; anyone who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life!” So why would we not be the lights of the world!? If we have the Light of Life, why are we not so exuberant to, with the Holy Spirit, fill the dark places that surround us!
The Lord is growing in me so much passion for missional living and thats just one reason why the Race is so important to me! We are creeping up on the final deadline for fundraising and in order to continue my journey and spreading Jesus’ truth through Chile, Peru, and India I must be fully funded within the next three weeks! I have about $680 until I am fully funded. Would you join me by supporting me to my final deadline!? I am so appreciative of all of y’alls support no matter how big or small, because every bit makes a difference! Thank you so much!
Here’s the vlog —
Here is a quick summary of what I talk about in the video! If you just want to have a quick read, here ya go.
— So today I just wanted to share a quick testimony from the Lord’s work here in Chile! It was something that I somehow forgot to mention in my update vlog. That vlog actually was from last week and really just got around to uploading it. Sorry bout that! But this is a quick testimony on a changed life!
So one night about 2 weeks ago, John Mark and I were casually sitting at the dining table and our wonderful host Juan, strolls up to us and says “can you guys come and pray with this man from the church with me?” We didn’t know who this was or what he needed prayer for but we knew we needed to go! So we headed out! Something I love so so much about international churches and pastors, is that when someone of the church needs prayer the pastor just directly goes to their apartment or house, which is so personal. Its something so special that I just love! House visits are really common, and its fantastic because being able to go into someone’s house where they live life is something so special and intimate.
So we walked down to this man’s apartment, and when we arrive he was sitting on the couch waiting for us with his son. We walked in and the atmosphere in the room was really heavy. It was something that I couldn’t describe but it was dark none the less. The boy’s name was Benjamin and as we sat down he was really quiet and pretty downcast. It was evident that we were here for him.
But guess what!? We sat down and talked about who Jesus was and what it meant to give up his life to the Lord and John Mark was able to share his testimony! And at the end, He gave his life to the Lord! We were able to pray for him and he prayed and talked to Jesus for the first time! As we finished, there was so much relief and new life in that room! And for the first time he smiled, looked up, and talked with us. Praise God for new family! We told him that we didn’t want to lose touch with him, so we’ve gone back to his home and spent time hanging out and playing games with him! We have a new brother in Christ and this community in Chile is only continuing to grow! SO excited to see what else the Lord will grow while we are here!
He has now been attending church in the weeks since, and a bible study here at the church! He also is planning on getting baptized soon! Praise God for this new redeemed life, He really is working!
