Hey all,

So I have some updates for you all. Bare with me as I am not good a great blogger.  I know many of you heard that I was going on the World Race in January 2015. However, due to a few things I decided to postpone my mission trip to July 2015. With that being said, I know some people have wondered if I was still even going. I AM FOR SURE GOING IN JULY. I have booked my flights to training camp in May and launch in June. Furthermore, I have started to make the necessary arrangements to get bills out of the way and to defer others. Things are really starting to fall into place.  A few days ago, I got the last few things of the gear: an airporter and sleeping bag liner. I am very excited to being this humbling journey of serving those in need around the globe.

In this season of life, one thing continually keeps resounding in my life: we are all slaves and captive to something or someone. I know for many of us within the United States, corporate America dominates our life. We are a slave to our endless pursuits and high standards of life. While the luxury we strive for and the dominance to self-sustain is eminant and worth something, I cant help but think that there is more in this life. When it comes to our condition before Jesus, I am awe struck that despite the marvel and wonder of Jesus dying on the cross for our sins, that I chose to rebel. It does not seem right. Yet, in the preponderance this life, it is wonderful to awknowledge that we were bought by Jesus. We are His sons and daughters despite the way we drift. He is eternally worth more. Therefore, with the escapade I am going to embark on in the coming 3 months, my goal for is to help people find their worth in Jesus beyond the slave that is dominate in their life. For some people, helping overcome the depths of poverty and realizing that despite their circumstance that they can occupy their streets as a faithful witness for the King, is worth something to the kingdom. For others, it is literally freeing them from the sex trafficking they are being held in. No matter the angle of it all, there is someone to help and serve in every single country I am going to. The bottom line is that Jesus said “it is finished!” I believe those words and want to help others realize that through Christ, their slavery and burdens can be given to the Lord. They can be put to rest.

With all the amazing things God can do through other missionaries around the world, it seems pretty obvious that even if I didnt go, God would prove himself faithful to supply for the broken, needy and fatherless. I truly am just another missionary, yet, I am crying out for your help. In our idolized and cliche ridden culture, we always want to have a positive effect on at least one person to make our lives seem meaningful. Yet, my goal for this mission is that I be less, self-sacrificing my desires for this year, so that others may be lifted up and know their worth.  With all the craziness going on in the world today, I do not want to sit idle by while 27 million brothers and sisters are enslaved, over 1 million die from common/curable diseases, and while 3.1 million children die each year from malnutrition. I am certainly thankful to have been blessed to have grown up in an amazing family and have you all in my life, but I am pleading for your help as I go out to be the hands and feet of Christ. I am asking that you would help partner with me in this. I am currently at $8600 dollars right now. Although the task of raising $7600 more dollars is daunting, the reality is, if you are reading this blog right now, and donate $100 dollars and that was it, I would be fully based on subscribers to this blog alone. Now, I want to be clear…. ANY DONATION WOULD BE A HUGE BLESSING AND HELP! Furthermore, All donations are tax deducable! I pray you would consider helping me in some capacity to be a servant to those in need in the countries I am go to for the next year!
