They told me i was going into Indiana jones territory…cut to scene in the desert slash oasis… indiania running being chased, yells start the engines!, again start the engines!!, being chased by tribe the pilot (Erik) is fishing! Reeling in a fish, gives up throws the pole! Indy gets in and they fly away to the next country.
Its only been 10 days that i have been in a country that does not know jessu! Before we went we were told many things about this land, what not to share online and to not use certain words. For me, I really thought it wasn’t needed! But working on obeying and trusting all the people, I have tried my best to follow their instructions, I think i have done a pretty good job. Let me share my observations so far!
For a culture that doesnt know jessu as number 1 they are doing a lot of things right. From taking time to pray, taking time in almost every hour to create conversation mentioning God! And they really want the next generation to understand and keep the dedication to the God!
My seeds I plant every day I walk around and around for these people! To have them walk in freedom, freedom from obligation. To a relationship. Understanding of a close God who is present and working active now! To walk in His Love.
I have been meeting different people in the hostal i have been staying at. We hear and talk about the confrontation (loud speaking) that the culture enjoys! Some may say it brings a matter of fighting for whats right, I would say there’s space for forgivness and giving your brother the best verse fighting over how you have been wronged.
What’s next, to bring the light! Often times simply being in a restaurant changes the atmosphere. We get food and we create conversations with locals. There was one guy who said can i be your Instagram buddy after talking and laughing and practicing my arrabic. I said of course, he added me, his hashtag says (f. .. the world!) Talk about a need! This is just one story one moment that God showed me someone.
Another time, i was walking the street and there was a man with swollen legs, they reminded me of my grandpa legs actually before he passed. But as I was praying for him, I prayed that he would have someone come talk to him a simple friendly conversation. Literally 3 hours later I walk by and there he is an someone is genuinely talking to him!! God wants to bless people are you willing to be the bridge!
Some days are hard, especially seeing many people and really many who dont speak english! Again just another remind to lean on jessu!!
