Malaysia the month of luxury, a month of great riches.  The city that has 6 million people, food everywhere, malls galore.  Most malls we did make an appearance at. There was pizza hut across our block and a kfc near by too.  There was banks all over and did I mention we had comfortable beds? I could share with you how we had a.c., wifi, and we even had a piano for worship. Or did i mention the president obama showed up to dignitg were i was volunteering at.  These material things I did not take away.  What i took away was friendships and brothers and sisters in christ.

What amazing people. “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.” Ephesians 2:19-20

This verse I got to experience, learning from David, Han lei, Rotrigue, Rollita, Christopher, Jeff, Vicky, Narndia, and the cook.  They loved us well and we were able to do life with them. Some highlights were thanksgiving dinner, cleaning for obama, learning about their future goals, teaching kids, working with the 10 year old who was going to be the mc.,  Soccer, church and many mores.

I will always remember the people in Malaysia the friendships, friendships made now to be enjoyed eternally.

“In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” Ephesians 2:21-22

One story was a man named Han lei, he knocked on our door and it was 10pm he had promised to take eric out and he finally showed up. We thought about saying a different day, after discussion we had our clothes on. He took us to the Indian resturant i had a weird elephant ear bread donut thing that tasted great. The real cool part when i asked where do you see yourself in 5 years. He talked about going to Oregon talked about then going to bible school, and finally being an evangelist pastor. What big dreams and what dreams god can provide. It was great to hear and he also later explained he came from mymar and what his life has been to this point. We were able to talk the night away and those are the true events of the world race, providing environment for christians across the world to have face to face conversations.

Another fun day was the day when David brought me to mcdonalds. A fourteen year old man sharing about world race teams coming and going and hearing about them. He was so excited to have a mcdonalds experience with a world racer. I got to talk to him about life, he showed me were his aunt lived, his grandmother use to live and he laughed at my jokes! I could say i am excited to where he will be some day, but in reality i am excited who he was and how he hung out with me that month. Life can be lonely and life can change. He taught me this and i was blessed with his presence, i pray for his family.

Pray requests Praise for Asia, god showing up and pray for the next leg of Africa. Pray for our team and pray for Christmas effect.
